We started CARAMANO because we believe that people who work with their hands deserve better products. Most skincare isn’t designed for a rock climber, an artist, or a mechanic. Theirs isn’t engineered for people who are intentionally rough on their hands, but that’s where we shine.

When we develop a formula, we start with the person, not the product. We look at the specific 'stresses' of a trade or a hobby—whether that's the drying chalk of gymnastics or the scrapes and splinters of a wood shop—then we design backward from there. If a balm doesn't perform to our standards, it doesn't leave our studio.

Our approach is pretty simple, though it’s surprisingly rare in skincare—we don’t want more for the sake of having more. We don’t develop new products just to have more in our store. We don't put an ingredient in a formula because it looks good on the label. If we use an ingredient, it’s because it actually makes a difference and it actually works.
